Great review! Wow, I can't imagine sitting on stage. I sat front row for the first time last year at the Ambassador when I saw Chicago in New York, and that alone was a different, at times awkward but great experience. There was a lot of spit, and at first making direct eye contact with the actors made me uncomfortable, but it was like seeing the show from a totally different place. Really made me admire their work.

That's so cool! I've never heard of that before, but I think I'd really enjoy it.

What a great experience!

I saw Spring Awakening on Broadway and on tour and loved it both times. The energy of the young cast, the rock 'n' roll score, the choreography were all so memorable.

I was too much of a coward to sit on stage, though. ;-(

Onstage seating is a really cool and different way to see a show. The last show I performed in, Cabaret at Raleigh Little Theater, had several onstage seats. My friends who got them said it was a cool, but very different view of the show.

As an actor, you never know what to expect from the audience. Once, we had two audience member stand up and sing in the middle of one of our numbers. Just a bit crazy.

Also, you'll never know spitting until you do are onstage of an opera. With no microphones and huge theaters, the spit flies everywhere.
